FAQs

What level of experience is considered a Competent paddler?

These tours will not have any formal instruction.  They will include safety briefings for the specific location but all paddlers will be expected to know the basics of paddling including:  how to get on/off your board, how to attach a leash, how to come up to standing and back down to kneeling, how to paddle in a straight line, how to turn and how to self-rescue.  You do not need to be able to paddle at any great speed.  If in doubt, drop us an email.

Do I have to participate in all of the activities?

No, but the price is set for the entire trip so while you’re free to attend or not there is no discounted rate available.

I'm not a member of your club, can I still attend?

This trip will be open to our members first for booking.  If there are still spaces available we will then open it to the public.  You can secure your space early by joining our club first and then sign up for the trip.  Memberships start from £1 per annum and all levels of experience are welcome.

Do I need a licence to bring my own board to Amsterdam?

No, you will not need a licence to bring your board on any of our organised paddles.
